ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE ENROLMENT
TERMS & CONDITIONS
For artist-in-residence enrolment, the agreement is between the person submitting the enrolment(s) and Casale Flaminia and is subject to our terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Registration Conditions
1.1 No agreement shall exist until the enrolment together with the appropriate deposit, or the full amount is made within 60 days of the start of the enrolled artist-in-residence schedule and a confirmation has been issued.

1.2 Where an enrolment is made on behalf of several individuals, the artist-in residence enrolment is conditional on the person submitting the enrolment form having authorisation from all the enrolled individuals to enter into this agreement.

1.3 All artist-in-residence enrolments are reviewed by a distinguished international committee composed of artists, academics, and cultural leaders across disciplines with focus on Visual Arts, Literature and Poetry.

1.4 Casale Flaminia reserves the right to decline any artist-in-residence enrolments at their discretion with submitted deposits fully refunded.
​
1.5 The agreement is subject to these artist-in-residence enrolment conditions which the person enrolling has been deemed to have read and fully understood. These enrolment conditions can only be varied by written agreement between Casale Flaminia and the person submitting the enrolment.
2. Deposit and payment terms
2.1 The person enrolling for the artist-in-residence schedule shall pay Casale Flaminia a deposit covering the first week due for each enrolled artist-in-residence individuals.

2.2 Hold deposit referred to in 2.1 is fully refundable 30 days before the start of the enrolled artist-in-residence schedule.
​
2.3 Full payment of the balance due must be made 30 days before the start of the the enrolled artist-in-residence schedule.

2.4 In absence of timely payment, Casale Flaminia reserves the right to cancel the arrangements made on behalf of the person who enrolled for the artist-in-residence schedule, and charge the applicable cancellation charges referred to in 3.3.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Please note that because our residencies are limited to a small number of artists and writers, allowing for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help you and us alike work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.

3.2 Cancellation of your enrolled artist-in-residence schedule, for whatever reason, should be notified to Casale Flaminia in writing by email ciao@casaleflaminia.it

3.3 If you cancel your enrolment after you have paid in full, the following refunds will be made:

30 days or more before the beginning of the enrolled artist-in-residence schedule: Full refund.

Thereafter 15 days before the beginning of the residency: 50% refund of the total price.

Thereafter no-shows: No refund.
Cancellation days refer to our receiving written notification of your cancellation referred to in 3.2

4. Accommodation
​
4.1 Comfortable room with queen bed, wardrope, writing desk and en-suite bathroom.
​
4.2 Continental breakfast is served in the morning with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options
4.3 Self catering meals are provisioned for with access to a fully equipped community kitchen, stocked with local ingredients from Umbria.
​
5. Writing Faculty
5.1 Access to writing faculty that can be tailored to your specific writing goals.
​
6. Courtesy Transfers Shuttle
6.1 Airport transfers to/from the airport Perugia Assisi 55 km / 45 min, Rome Fiumicino 160 km / 2 hours, Rome Ciampino 145 km / 1 hour 45 min is offered by request only.
​
6.2 It may sometimes be necessary to combine, on certain transfers, fellow artists and writers arriving or departing on more than one flight, which may require additional waiting time at your airport. Sometimes our airport transfers are contracted to a specialist local agency.
​
6.3 Our airport shuttle service aims to meet you and fellow artists and writers at the airport between 13:00 and 15.00 on arrival day and on departure day drop you off at the airport for midday.
​
6.4 If you can’t find flights to meet our courtesy transfer shuttle service, we can arrange a private transfer for you (at your own cost) or give advice on the local train or rental car services.
7. Passports, visas and health requirements
7.1 For travellers from outside countries, it is your responsibility, according to the type of passport you have, to check with the consulate whether the application for a tourist visa is required.

7.2 Due to visa regulations and health requirements that can change frequently, it is recommended that you check as soon as possible whether the application for tourist visas or health requirements is necessary.
​
7.3 Casale Flaminia is not responsible for travellers without proper health documentation and the correct passport or visa.
8. Insurance
8.1 The artist-inresidence program does NOT include travel, health or accident insurance and it is the responsibility of the enrolled individuals to ensure adequate insurance cover.

9. Privacy Policy
​
9.1 Casale Flaminia is committed to safeguarding and respecting the privacy of enrolled artists and writers.
​
9.2 The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 1998 requires us to deal fairly with any information that we collect from you during enrolment on our website.
​
9.3 Our Privacy Policy, outlined here, will describe what we will do with this information and with whom it might be shared and under what circumstances
​
10. Exclusions of liability
​
10.1 Casale Flaminia do not accept any liability for: cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations or other events beyond our control.
​
10.2 Neither Casale Flaminia nor any of its staff or associates will be liable for any loss or damage to any personal property beyond our control.
​
11. Law and Jurisdiction
​
11.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with Italian law, and the parties shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts.
​
11.2 This agreement is governed by the laws of Italy. Any conflict between the terms and conditions of the agreement and the law of Italy, then the law of Italy shall prevail.

12. Changes to the terms
​
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice.
